UKAMHS Terms and Conditions:
By becoming a member of UKAMHS Ltd, you agree to abide by these rules.
We would like to remind members that they should conduct themselves at all times in an appropriate fashion and should always display good manners and respect to other participants, show officials & judges.

- All entries must be submitted via a completed entry form, signed, accompanied by copies of Horse’s registration papers, UKAMHS membership number and where applicable with Amateur numbers – Paperwork must be posted to the UKAMHS Show Manager
- All exhibitors and horse owners must be members of UKAMHS to show
- All entry fees must be made before the closing date
- All horses must travel with their passports
- By entering the competitor has agreed to abide by the rules, code of conduct and guidelines set out by the UKAMHS show organisers
- Anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a responsible adult and they would be responsible for both them and their horse
- Stallions can only be shown by exhibitors aged 14 yrs and over
- All entries must arrive for classes on time - no late entries will be admitted if this would disrupt the class
- Competitors should follow instructions from the Show Manager, Ring Steward or Judges
- A horse owned or trained by the judge, show manager or ring steward will not be shown at any competition in which they are running
- Each horse shall be given equal and careful consideration
- Exhibitors, Team members, horse owners & attendees believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to take a breathalyser. A positive result will result in disqualification.
- Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place
- Any horse that shows an unruly or dangerous manner will be asked to leave the ring and potentially the show ground.
- Any competitor that is unable to control their horse in a safe manner, will be asked to leave the ring and could be disqualified from the show.
- Any accidents must be reported to the UKAMHS Show Organisers
- An exhibitor should never use personal behaviour for receiving advantages from a judge
- All horses must be sound and in good health
- Horses with whiskers left untrimmed at the discretion of the exhibitor must not be penalised
- UKAMHS will not accept any unsportsmanlike behaviour or bullying. This is whether at a show, via Social Media platforms and any other route
- UKAMHS will not accept any of the following and this will result in a competitor could be disqualified from the remainder of the show –
- Use of a whip around the horse’s head
- Rough handling, hitting, or kicking of a horse
- A competitor venting their anger or frustration onto their horse
- The judge’s decision is final. No competitor or associates should argue with a show official.
- Any formal complaints must be made in writing to the UKAMHS Show Manager, by following the AMHA and AMHR Rules within 48 hours.
- Any outstanding fees, membership, sponsorship or entry fees will result in disqualification on the day of show.
